We are a group of people rather small in terms of numbers, however, growing constantly in terms of strength and determination, coming from various places and backgrounds to live off the beaten track and participate in the Dziadowice project.

We live on a plot of land covering an area of several ha, surrounded by a forest from all sides with the nearest neighbour unreachable by a stone’s throw. What we’re up to could be most easily described as “communal living” as well, as “development and propagation of conscious ecological lifestyle”. Observing and comprehending the rather critical condition of our planet’s wildlife we endeavour to work out and follow a life style in line with natural laws of our Mother Earth, thus creating an alternative to what is still being suggested and pursued by the authorities and their codes in general.

We didn’t join to cut ourselves off from anything not even to oppose anyone, neither to fight with someone nor deny anything. We only joined to participate together in what we think is right for us and others, including all living and non-living and to share our goals and accomplishments with those willing to listen.

Our goal couldn’t be less profound and to a certain degree identical to anyone else’s: Healthy, happy and harmonious life! Who’d have guessed, huh? Where we might differ from others is fact that we really try to achieve it here and now, in all our daily activities by, most importantly, honest and considerate means.

Regardless how far below our ideal, we strive to produce our food and wisely manage our habitat. We do our best to reduce, neutralize or segregate all the waste we generate. We manage all our human wastes by composting. We produce great part of our fuel in a sustainable way. We push ourselves to minimize our electricity and oil needs to the extent of maintaining a sufficient connection with the society.

Never mind our goal is neither specifically new, nor extraordinarily original, there are few precepts we find particularly important to us and therefore worth pointing out:

• We do not use any substances to alter our consciousness in any way.

• Our place is beyond any creed, no cults, sects nor counter-cults or any other particular philosophy. We tend to discuss openly all these issues and share our views broadly.

• We shun participation in mass slaughtering of animals. We’re vegetarians avoiding both mass dairy and eggs produce. We chose local and ethical.

• We tend to approach all our conflicts, disputable situations and view differences calmly and consciously, understanding these are unavoidable among people sharing any common space.

• We’re interested in psychology and a small group’s dynamics.
